St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst – Hall of Fame

It is with great excitement and some trepidation that I put up these images of the nurses who trained at St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst, in the days of Hospital based training.

If you are one of those nurses who happen by chance to come across this blog, I would be eternally grateful if you would allow me to add yours to the small number that I have gathered so far.

All I need is a picture of you in your St Vincent’s hospital nurses uniform!

How do I do that? Answer: send your picture to me via the email address that you see at the bottom of this page. That’s all you have to do. I will then crop them to a size of 100 x 100 pixels and insert them into the head shot.

Note: All images are named by number, with no reference to actual names.

Yes, very small images but for me, they will be worth more than all the gold in Fort Knox!

Hopefully with any luck I will need to add more squares!

To be continued…

Peter, glad to see that you've established contact with two! Hope you find many, many more. Do you have any newspapers that post inquiries? Most of our papers will post notices of reunions for families, schools, militay groups, etc. and in connection with that they post inquiries looking for people that attended schools and most any other organized group/class/club.

Hi Moonshadow! Yes, its only early days but I do hope to hear from as many as I can before I kick the bucket, especially the ones from my class.

I have mentioned in my blog that I had attended a reunion sometime ago. None were from my class with some from my wife's class. Mostly they were from the very very early days of St Vincents.

I'm happy to say that this blog has attracted a few emails from St Vincents nurses. One such email was from my best man who I haven't seen for almost 25 years. He also trained at St Vincents and found my blog by accident.

If any come across my blog it would be fantastic if some of them could co-author this site. Now wouldn't that be great.

Being an uneasy optimist I had hoped to attract those that trained there in the days of hospital based training via this blog. If push comes to shove, I'll consider using the media but for know I hope the blog will do.

Thank you again for your great advise. It is greatly appreciated.

Take Care,
Peter

Hi Anna! Good news! I've got more images of St Vincent's trained nurses coming my way real soon with the help of my wife!

Now, if you click on "My mates" at the top of the page, you will discover that I have already made a Hall of Fame for my blogger friends!

Take Care,
Peter
